“It takes me two years to write a play, let’s write yours in two hours.”
This is Chris’s challenge to the students in his workshops
– which they love!

"I want to share with students the amazing period when a play is born, produced and performed. I want to demystify it all, make it totally accessible so they can capture the joy of writing and participating themselves.”

"Thank you for helping us be a writer."
"Can you come back again Mister Leicester?"
Pupils at Lache County Primary School, Chester

"On the 28 / 8 / 13 I had one of the best days of my life. Chris Leicester is one of the most fabulous and inspirational directors I have ever met. It was an honour to meet him. I learnt how to be a creative writer and about starting out as a director." Alfie Sleet - The Bromfords School, Essex

"The primary objective of the workshops is to involve all the children in the class in the project, to give them ownership and control but above all else, to instil confidence, to show them that they can, through their individual creative efforts and by being a member of a team, create, produce and perform their own piece of stimulating theatre."
